As the federal government shutdown lingers on, more and more needs are arising for those impacted, from basic needs to emotional support.
Agencies, businesses, churches, clubs and individuals are stepping up to assist our friends and neighbors and two organizations leading the way are the American Red Cross and the Warrior Warehouse, both located on Fort Knox.
Various items are needed to help soldiers, civilian employees, and their families. Donations can be made directly at the agencies or by bringing items to the chamber’s Community Partnership Dinner on October 30, 2025. Basic items such as canned goods, soups with protein, mac and cheese, rice, beans, pasta and sauce, diapers, formula, and gift cards are welcomed. Monetary donations can also be made through the Plus One Heroes, a non-profit entity founded by a military spouse with ties to Fort Knox. Every dollar donated goes directly to a soldier or furloughed government worker.
Follow the Fort Knox Warrior Warehouse and American Red Cross on Facebook for more information on how you can help.
Thanks to everyone for your support, generosity and kindness.
