Buy Local

Theย Buy Localย campaign is a Hardin County Chamber of Commerce program that was developed to promote and support local businesses. The Buy Local mission is to encourage our community to spend locally and support the local economy.

Chamber Luncheon

New members are publicly recognized at the monthly luncheons. New Members also have the opportunity for the Chamber to produce a 30-second commercial (additional fee of $175),ย  that can be used on business social media.

Primary Luncheon Sponsorย ($1,200)

  • Company logo is included in our Chamber newsletter (published in our local newspapers).
  • Primary sponsors are recognized during the luncheon.
  • Primary sponsorsย receive a table at the main entrance of the luncheon room,ย  to greet members as they enter the luncheon room and display their products and services.
  • Primary sponsors receive 4 complimentary lunches.
  • Primary sponsors may decorate and place informational items on each of the luncheon tables.
  • Primary sponsors are afforded a 3 โ€“ 4 minute speaking opportunityย about products and/or services.

Secondaryย Luncheon Sponsor ($250 – Commercial Business or $150 – Non Profit)

  • Secondary sponsors are recognized during the luncheon.
  • Secondary Sponsorsย receiveย a table in the main meeting room to display your company products and/or services.
Chamber Expo

Hardin County businesses share ideas and showcase their products during the Chamber of Commerce’s various annual Expos.ย  Each is a great opportunity to network, promote and find out more about other businesses in the county.

Health & Wellness Expo – Held in February- highlighting the numerous healthcare and social services resources in our community.

Good Neighbor Day โ€“ Held in March, showcasing local businesses and organizations that are good neighbors, supporting civic groups, schools, non-profit agencies, the chamber and more.

Small Business Expo– Held in May—showcasing our community’s small businesses and celebrating their big impact on our economy.
Volunteer Expo-Held in September–showcasing local non profit agencies, their vital services and volunteer opportunities.

Manufacturing Expo Held inย  October—celebrating local industry and the products made in Hardin County.

Veterans Expo Held in November, focusing on Veteran-owned businesses, military-affiliated organizations and those providing services for our service members, past and present.

Taste of the Holidaysย โ€“ Held in December, the annual Taste of the Holidays is a culinary cornucopia of offerings from local restaurants and caterers.

The Ronnie J. Pence Chamber Champion Award recognizes an individual who has committed an exemplary effort toward an initiative or initiatives important to the Chamberโ€™s mission.

Excellence in Government Award

Excellence in Government Award recognizes any official (either elected or appointed) who has performed a particular service or overall effectiveness in office on behalf of the residents of Hardin County and has demonstrated commitment to supporting business.

Other criteria:
  • Currently serving in any level of government (local, state, federal) or has been out of office no more than two years

  • Has made a significant economic, social or environmental impact on the community
  • Is a public use project, facility or initiative that impacts the community at large
  • Promotes, develops or creates business growth or tourism, recreational, cultural or community assets or amenities

THE RALPH REESE FORT KNOX/COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AWARD

The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce will present the RALPH REESE FORT KNOX/COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AWARD at the 2026 Hardin County Chamber Annual Meeting & Awards Program.

THE RALPH REESE FORT KNOX/COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AWARD recognizes an individual or business who has committed an exemplary effort toward an initiative or initiatives important to the military and community partnership between Fort Knox and Hardin County. It is named in honor of World War II Veteran and Hardin County community leader and icon, Ralph Reese.

THE RISING STAR AWARD

The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce will present the RISING STAR AWARD at the 2026 Hardin County Chamber Annual Meeting & Awards Program.

THE RISING STAR AWARD recognizes an up and coming business whose professional success is matched by its commitment to serving our community. This is for businesses in operation for two years or less.

Other criteria:
  • the business demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession
  • the business provides value services by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community
  • the business must be a current member of the Hardin Co. Chamber of Commerce.
