Advocate

As the collective voice for its members, the Hardin County Chamber works to create a more business-friendly climate and advocates policies and legislation that encourage investment and enhance our communityโ€™s economic competitiveness.

We keep our members up to date on the issues that impact them and work hard to strengthen relationships with our elected officials and other leaders at the local, state and federal levels.

Monitoring Legislative Issues

The chamber carefully tracks developing legislative and policy matters. Whether itโ€™s a local, regional, state or federal issue, we keep members informed about the issues that may affect their businesses.

Building Relationships

To help foster a business-friendly landscape, itโ€™s important that our elected officials understand and appreciate the local business communityโ€™s concerns. We nurture connections with leaders at every level to encourage that dialogue. For example, the regular Legislative Lunch gives member representatives an opportunity to develop personal connections with elected officials.

Providing a Unified Voice

We know working together brings great benefits to our local economy and as the organization that represents the business community, we communicate and promote policies and initiatives that support a healthy business climate. For instance, the chamberโ€™s public policy survey provides leaders with comprehensive data about the Hardin County business priorities and our advocacy platform helps the business community champion the issues that matter most to chamber members. Additionally, the chamber organizes and executes campaigns to strengthen our membersโ€™ collective voice.
