The Military Working Dogs offered a demonstration of the current dogs in the unit. These dogs are trained for specific jobs, to include tracking, explosive detection, and patrol search. Their works is invaluable, and it’s no wonder that these dogs are a precious resource.
The Bluegrass Challenge Academy was next up. The Bluegrass Challenge Academy is a 22 week residential program that offers opportunities for at risk youth a chance at a better life.
The students had the opportunity to enjoy a lunch at the Dining Facility (Thank you Five Star for sponsoring). This was a wonderful experience, as the students were able to interact with soldiers and learn a little bit about what their daily life was like. They also had the opportunity to speak with Deputy Garrison Commander Jim Bradford.
Lastly the group, stopped at the U.S. Army Marketing an Engagement Brigade. Where the students were able to see how some of the elite recruiting exhibits and materials were made.
