Do you endorse LIFT and Local Option Sales Tax?
Normally, I would not support raising taxes. However, since with these taxes the voter decide if a capital venture would be a worthwhile option, I could be in support of LIFT. However this would also depend on the language in the legislation.
Whether you are in support of LIFT or not, what projects do you see as priority that could benefit from community funding?
The YMCA.
In light of potential additional cuts at Fort Knox, will you continue to provide funding for One Knox? If not, what are you willing to do to protect the economic contribution of Fort Knox?
Absolutely, I would continue funding One Knox. We have had a strong relationship with Ft. Knox for a long time, and I feel it is vital to our economy in Hardin County especially the northern end.

What strategic plans would you recommend in order to improve the finances of the Jail operations?
I would try to work with the jailer to reduce expenses. There are a couple of ways we could reduce the number of county inmates; such as home incarceration and work off fine programs.
What strategic plans would you recommend in order to improve the finances of the Landfill operation?
We should continue to seek out new tonnage sources.
The County does not currently have an employee occupational or business license tax; do you see a need to implement these taxes for the purpose of economic development for both existing small business as well as potential new business being attracted to the area?
I think Hardin County not having an occupational tax is in itself an incentive to be attracted to Hardin County.
Do you see any changes to the governance structure of the Hospital?
No, I do not foresee any changes to the governance structure of the Hospital.
Do you think the County should keep the Hospital or eventually sell it?
