Ashli Watts, Central Hardin High School Class of 2000, on Feb. 28 introduced representatives from Hardin County Schools (HCS) at the House of Representatives Education Committee. Teresa Morgan, Superintendent of HCS, Dan Robbins, HCS Early College and Career Center Principal and John Wright, HCS Community Relations Director were there to discuss House Bill 454, which is modeled after HCS’ Work Ethic Certification (WEC) program.
“It is awe-inspiring to know students throughout Kentucky may have the same opportunities as the students in our region,” Wright said.
Melinda Kincer and Marionette Little from Operation UNITE also attended to discuss an added piece on drug education in the proposed legislation.
