Congratulations to the City of Vine Grove on being named the 4th Safest City in the State!
Safewise analyzes critical data for cities across the state and nation to determine the safety of communities, such as violent crime and burglaries.
The winners in Kentucky were spread across the state and were all small towns, including suburbs of Lexington and Cincinnati. In all, 116 Kentucky cities met the criteria for ranking this year.
With its population of just over 7,000, the City of Vine Grove has a violent crime rate of only .3 incidents per 1,000 people. The violent crime rate in Kentucky is 3.31 incidents per 1,000 people, which is lower than the national average of 4.43.
With its friendly people, historic charm, proximity to Fort Knox, and year-round family-friendly activities, it’s no wonder that Vine Grove scored so well and continues to be a safe and wonderful place to call home.
Congratulations!
