Stories from the solar field: Meet two farmers grazing sheep on solar farms

Stories from the solar field:

Meet two farmers grazing sheep on solar farms

Solar farms can grow more than electricity. On many of our U.S. solar farms, local ranchers integrate agriculture by raising flocks of sheep on-site. As the sheep graze on the plentiful vegetation under and around the solar panels, they help “mow the lawn.” The ranchers bring in additional revenue through paid grazing contracts, in addition to producing lamb and wool.

This video features two ranchers who began partnering with Lightsource bp this year.

Watch the video to learn how solar grazing is sustaining their businesses and improving the land.
