The Rising Star Award celebrates a recently established business or organization that has become an important contributor to the economic success of our region. For 2019, the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce has recognized two local excelling businesses for this award.
Flywheel Brewing was established as the first brewery within a 45-mile radius of Elizabethtown. Their philosophy states that they “believe in the power of a good beer to break down social barriers. We believe that a community needs a relaxing space where neighbors can gather to form bonds and lasting friendships. We celebrate our identity as a local breath of fresh air in an atmosphere choked with cookie-cutter corporate chains. We strive to bring Elizabethtown its own unique beers and help cultivate its own local beer culture.”
Flywheel Brewing has created a unique culture for the Elizabethtown community. One that doesn’t require residents to travel to a larger metro area to experience, in turn supporting the local economy.
