In past decade, the Elizabethtown Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which includes Hardin, LaRue and Meade counties, has been among the fastest growing MSAs in the country and continues to welcome thousands of new residents every year. The MSA also led Kentucky metropolitan areas in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth between 2009 and 2012 and has made exciting gains in per capita personal income.
