NOW HIRING: DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP & ENGAGEMENT

SUMMARY: The Director of Membership & Engagement is responsible for leading membership growth, engagement and retention strategies for the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce. This role serves as the primary driver of membership revenue and is accountable for recruiting new members, retaining existing members, strengthening relationships, and ensuring members fully realize the value of their Chamber investment. The Director actively represents the Chamber in the community and collaborates with staff, volunteers, and committees to enhance the overall member experience.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

๏‚ท Associates degree required; Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field preferred

๏‚ท Three to five (3-5) years of experience in sales, membership development, business development or related field

๏‚ท Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

๏‚ท Proven ability to prospect, sell and retain members

๏‚ท Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with business leaders, volunteers and community stakeholders

๏‚ท Experience and proficiency with social media platforms

๏‚ท Highly motivated, goal-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team

JOB DESCRIPTION & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

๏‚ท Develop and execute strategic membership recruitment plans targeting businesses throughout Hardin County

๏‚ท Recruit and sell new memberships, upgraded memberships, advertising and other non- dues revenue opportunities

๏‚ท Own and manage the annual membership renewal process, including outreach to at-risk members

๏‚ท Maintain regular contact with existing members to strengthen relationships and encourage engagement

๏‚ท Ensure new members are properly onboarded and introduced to HCCC benefits and programs

๏‚ท Achieve or exceed budgeted membership and non-dues revenue goals

๏‚ท Maintain accurate records of membership and prospect activity in the Chamber database

๏‚ท Provide regular membership performance reports to the President/CEO

๏‚ท Serve at staff liaison to the Young Professionals Network

๏‚ท Assist with the execution of Leadership Hardin County and Youth Leadership Hardin County programs

๏‚ท Actively engage on HCCC social media platforms to promote membership value

๏‚ท Represent the chamber at ribbon cuttings, networking events, and community activities

๏‚ท Perform other duties as assigned

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

๏‚ท Base salary: $50,000 per year, commensurate with experience

๏‚ท This is a performance-based position, allowing for bonus opportunities not to exceed $15,000.

๏‚ท Full-time, Monday-Friday (some evenings and weekends required)

๏‚ท Paid holidays and vacation

๏‚ท Business mileage reimbursement

๏‚ท Medical insurance enrollment/coverage
