9:00am-10:30am – Benefits 101 & the BBB Association Plan – Jeff Elder, Jenpale – Have you wondered what some of the new trends are in benefits? Have you thought your company is too small to offer benefits? If you’re a business owner, CFO, or HR manager (or are filling in for someone who is!) don’t miss this class on the types of benefits and how they may help your employees! $15 AB/$25 non-AB

10:45am-12:15pm – Conflict Management – Kevin Derbin, Academy Leadership – Conflicts, though often uncomfortable and upsetting, can challenge assumptions, inspire dialogue, and spark new ideas. You will learn how conflict can be positive or negative on peak organizational effectiveness, explore our natural responses to conflict and stress, learn 5 conflict management strategies and the 7 best principles for conflict leadership. $15 AB ($25 w/ lunch)/$25 non-AB ($35 w/ lunch)

12:15pm-12:45pm – Lunch – $15

1:00pm-2:30pm – Human Resource Nightmares – Cindy Effinger, McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland, PLLC – What happens when leave runs out? Do I have to pay employees when we close for bad weather? Must I allow telecommuniting as an ADA accommodation? Do I pay employees for travel time? 2:45pm-4:15pm – Growing and sustaining your business – Always thinking outside the box – Alex Benson, The Benson Group – This course will cover strategies for branding and operating your business by examining and creating processes for organizational growth. The session will also explore how innovation can grow and sustain your business. $15 AB/$25 non-AB
