Do you endorse LIFT and the Local Option Sales Tax?
Yes, The Local Investments for Transformation and The Local Option Sales Tax Serves As economic development tools allowing communities to invest in projects and is controlled by the people of the community.
Whether you are in support of LIFT or not, what projects do you see as priority that could benefit from community funding?
I would like to repair and develop the city sidewalks, the repair and replacement of our street signs, upgrade and repair of the city parks, Refurbish City Hall Building, as Well as bringing events to our City.
Do you see any services provided by both County and City government where it would be more cost effective to combine these efforts?
No, I believe both bodies of government are important and can work together, however should not be combined. It would cost more money to combine any of the services and neither the county nor the city would benefit.
In light of potential additional cuts at Fort Knox, will you endorse funding for One Knox? If not, what are you willing to do to protect the economic contribution of Fort Knox?

What are you recommending being done to bring new business to the community? What incentives should the City make available to existing business to expand and potential new business to come to the area?
To bring New Businesses to the community takes being active and diligent, so I plan to Work with all services of government on a City, County and State level to help the development of our community. I think working with all these levels of government allows us to broaden the incentives to potential new businesses as well as existing ones. With the addition of new roads in the area, downtown seems to be less traveled.
What strategic plans are you recommending to increase business opportunities in the downtown area?
I would like to make downtown Vine Grove a place that people make an effort to come to and/or just drive through. There is a lot of history here and I think as a community we need to support the downtown area. Bringing events to downtown will help the growth and development as well as the spirit of our community. The waterline project is a great example of the community getting much needed updates and delivery of higher quality services as a result of our rapid growth.
In your opinion, are there additional infrastructure items and capital projects that should be on the strategic planning horizon?
I would look at repairing and updating our city streets throughout the City. I believe this is a project that would increase travel to and through the area. It would also increase revenue and at the same time we are improving our community.
Do you see Vine Grove as a “Mayberry” kind of town or positioned for significant growth in the future?
I have lived in Vine Grove all my life and I have seen the growth we have had thus far and I really believe we can have significant growth and still keep a “Mayberry” atmosphere.
