From the Hardin County Schools district:
Masks/facial coverings will be optional inside Hardin County Schools
buildings, effective immediately. This includes classrooms, sporting events and other
extracurricular activities.
The federal mandate requiring that masks be worn on buses remains in place.
“Thankfully, our school and community Covid-19 numbers have taken a dramatic decrease,” HCS Superintendent Teresa Morgan said. “The number of hospitalizations at Baptist Health Hardin have decreased and stabilized. Despite the removal of our mask mandate, we will continue to be diligent in deep cleaning and sanitizing. If a student or staff member desires to wear a mask, they are certainly encouraged to do so. KN95 masks are available at all schools for students and staff who wish to have one.”
