The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce’s 2017 Christmas in Hardin County ornament, featuring the Carl M Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center, is now available for sale.
The center was named for Hardin County native Carl M. Brashear, the first African American U.S Navy Master Diver. A dedication ceremony was held today.
Since the tradition started, the ornaments have showcased prominent locations throughout the county. Chamber President and CEO Brad Richardson said this year’s location is especially fitting for the community.
“The center and the man whose name it bears remind us of the tremendous impact military service members and their families have had on this community and this country,” said Richardson. “We are proud to add this ornament to the collection.”
The ornament is $7, which includes tax. Complete sets of Christmas in Hardin County ornaments, dating back to 1991, also are available for $175. To purchase, visit the Chamber of Commerce at 111 W. Dixie Ave. in Elizabethtown or 306 N. Wilson Road in Radcliff. For more information call the chamber at 270-765-4334 or 270-351-4450.
