DESCRIPTION:Members Encouraged to Bring Appetites\, Wallets to Colton’s Steak House \nOn the heels of a successful cash mob\, the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce is holding its first Lunch Mob on Tuesday\, Mar. 26\, at Colton’s Steak House. Members and their guests are invited to the restaurant’s Radcliff location (3050 S Dixie Blvd) to enjoy a great meal\, some networking and patronize a valued chamber member. \n“Most of us eat lunch anyway\, so why not use the time to network\, relax and promote a local restaurant\,” said Brad Richardson\, chamber president and CEO. \nLike last month’s cash mob\, the idea is to pick a time and a place to get together\, then ask everyone to help get the word out and encourage chamber members and friends to “mob” that establishment. \n“What a great benefit of chamber membership\,” said Ben Ashlock\, Colton’s General Manager. “We’re pleased that our name was drawn and look forward to having folks out for lunch.” \nOne of 29 restaurants in the Colton’s chain\, the Radcliff location opened in 2011\, featuring a broad menu and a casual Western atmosphere. Colton’s was chosen through a random drawing of restaurants who are chamber members. The mob starts at 11:00 a.m. \n“We want to help support chamber members and continue to promote our buy local program. This is a great way to do both. We look forward to a strong turnout\,” said Greg Pawley\, chamber board chairman and CEO of The Cecilian Bank. “Our plan is to alternate ‘Cash Mobs’ and ‘Lunch Mobs’ each month.”

DESCRIPTION:Leadership Hardin County (LHC)  is a twelve session\, eleven month long program scheduled annually\, which provides a unique opportunity for interested citizens to learn about the needs and resources of their community. \nThe program is sharply focused on concerns and capabilities of our ever changing and growing communities. Through lecture\, presentations\, practical exercises\, visitations\, independent study and meetings with key community leaders\, class members will examine the community’s organizational structure and associated City\, County\, State and National resources available to assist the community in meeting the needs of the residents.  Students will have one overnight trip during the program. \nLHC class members are a diverse group of dedicated individuals who are interested in examining and experiencing ways to help the communities in which they live. The class will be challenged to develop and implement a community project which solidifies the bond that develops between classmates while making Hardin County a better place to live\, work\, and play. \nFor more information please contact Helen Miles or Anna Randall at 765-4334. \nLHC Application
