The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, July 11. Emmet E. Holley was this year’s recipient of the Ralph Reese Fort Knox/Community Partner Award. The award recognizes an individual or organization who has made an exemplary effort toward an initiative or initiatives important to the Military & Community Partnership between Fort Knox and Hardin County.
Emmet Holley is currently Deputy to the Garrison Commander at Fort Knox. Mr. Holley served in the US Army for 25 years, where he held numerous Command and Staff positions both stateside and overseas. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Education at the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1976, and his Masters Degree in Public Administration from Western Kentucky University in 1988.
Additionally, Mr. Holley is a recipient of the Silver Order of Saint George Award for his contributions to Armor Brand. In April 2005, Emmet was recognized as the Fort Knox Outstanding Volunteer of the Year.
