Congratulations to the East Hardin Middle School FFA chapter on their gorgeous new greenhouse!
This project was months in the making and under the leadership of AG teacher and FFA sponsor, Mrs. Pickerell, the FFA students raised the funds, recruited sponsors and put in the hard work to construct the large greenhouse and fill it with a wide variety of flowers, plants and vegetables.
The project was a great undertaking and provided a valuable learning experience for the students. The greenhouse will provide more learning opportunities for the FFA program and future EHMS students, as well as beautiful items for the community to purchase. Proceeds from the greenhouse will help support the mission of FFA and enable the students to participate in field trips and other endeavors.
Hardin County Schools Superintendent Mrs. Teresa Morgan said, “Events like this happen because of the hard work and dedication of the teachers in our school district and the principal leadership to say hey, you have ideas, let’s move that forward. We are incredibly proud to have this opportunity and for the students to have this opportunity. Thanks to everybody who made this happen and we greatly appreciate it.”
