Chamber Website, E-newsletters Earn Top Honors

Brad Richardson Elected to Board of Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives

Photo by Tim WebbThe Hardin County Chamber of Commerce took home two awards Thursday night at the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives (KCCE) spring conference in Frankfort. The awards are for outstanding website and outstanding e-newsletter.

Launched in August of 2012 in an effort to make the chamberโ€™s website a more effective tool for members, hardinchamber.com underwent a total redesign, to include enhanced functionality and on-brand content. The redesigned site also allowed the chamber to improve its e-newsletters with content fed directly from the websiteโ€™s blog to the weekly email campaigns.

โ€œWe wanted our site to serve as the โ€˜go toโ€™ hub for chamber communications and the best place to easily share up-to-date information about how we help members network, promote and develop their businesses and organizations,โ€ said Chamber CEO, Brad Richardson. โ€œThe site is not only accomplishing those goals, but itโ€™s also attracting visitors from outside of Hardin County who are researching our region. Weโ€™re honored to receive this recognition and proud that others are taking notice.โ€

Richardson credited Elizabethtown-based chamber member, Heartland Communications Consultants for the new website and thanked his staff for quickly learning how to leverage the new tools to better support members.

โ€œIn an era where Web and digital communications are essential, we want to have the very best tools in place,โ€ said Greg Pawley, Chamber Board Chairman and CEO of The Cecilian Bank. โ€œThis recognition is a great example of how the chamber continues to make positive changes to provide members with the highest possible level of support.โ€

In addition to these recognitions, Richardson was named to the KCCE Board of Directors.
