Congratulations to Lincoln Trail District Health Department Director Sara Jo Best and LTDHD Health Promotion Manager and Public Information Officer Terrie Burgan on their selection to the Community Advisory Council of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky.
The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization funded by an endowment that works to make Kentuckians healthier. Since it opened its doors in 2001, the Foundation has invested $27 million in health policy advocacy, research, and demonstration projects across the Commonwealth. Its mission is to address the unmet health needs of Kentuckians by developing and influencing policy, improving access to care, reducing health risks and disparities, and promoting health equity.
Both Best and Burgan bring decades of experience and knowledge in public health to the Foundation. Best has been the LTDHD director since 2013 and Burgan has been with the Lincoln Trail district for a decade.
