Leadership Hardin County (LHC) is a popular leadership development and community educational program that connects and inspires local leaders. The 11-month program consists of retreats, presentations and seminars, service projects, discussion groups, independent study, and meetings with key community leaders.
LHC participants are a diverse group of dedicated individuals from business, nonprofit, education and government who are interested in examining ways to strengthen Hardin County. The 12-session program builds a collaborative network of community leaders by educating participants on the key issues facing the region and inspiring them to lead and serve.
Hardin County’s economy is expanding as we attract more residents and businesses and developing strong leaders is critical to our success. Class members examine the community’s organizational structure and associated city, county, state and national resources available to assist in meeting the needs of those who conduct business and live in Hardin County.
The LHC program is essentially self-funded through tuition fees paid by the class members or their employers. The $895 for Chamber Members, $1000 for Non-Chamber Members tuition includes all fees, materials, reception and graduation meals and retreat accommodations.
