A community icon has ended its historic run. The Royalty family announced the end of the publication of The Sentinel, the family-owned and operated newspaper that focused on our community for nearly 62 years.

Started by Mr. James H. Royalty, the family-fun newspaper covered all of the events, big and small, for numerous generations.

We will miss The Sentinel and thank the Royalty family for their dedication, service, time, talent and endless community spirit. THANK YOU for being a community resource and capturing our history.
